The X Count’s Air Rifle Summer Camp is designed for new athletes and students entering grades 7–11 who have no prior experience in Olympic-style rifle shooting. This camp introduces participants to essential gun safety practices and the fundamentals of 3-Position Air Rifle shooting. The camp concludes with an optional mini-competition on Thursday, where athletes can test out their newly learned skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Camp Curriculum Director, Coach Gregg Rice, is licensed by the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF), an NRA Advanced Certified Coach and a member of the National Coach Development Staff. He is joined by Camp Coach Daniel Shanebrook, who is also a NRA Advanced Certified Coach and ISSF Licensed Coach and Official.

Summer Camp also serves as a tryout for athletes interested in joining the Bishop Dwenger Rifle Team, or the Carroll Rifle Team. In addition to providing a solid foundation in the sport, it also gives athletes the opportunity to explore the sport before committing to a full season of training and competition.the camp offers the opportunity for Boy Scouts to earn the Rifle Merit Badge.
