Camps and Clinics

Air Rifle Summer Camp is for students entering grades 7-11. Camp takes place from 6-8pm, Monday through Friday of the selected week. The camp will focus on the fundamentals of 3-Position shooting and will culminate in an actual 3-P match. Incoming freshmen and current high school students will use their score from this match as their qualifying score for the team. Rifle is a club sport in Indiana, so participants will be placed on an existing team unless they have enough athletes to start their own team. We will continue our junior high program through the 2021-2022 season. Summer Camp can also be used to earn the Rifle Merit Badge for Boy Scouts.

The ISRPA Intermediate Smallbore Clinic at Chief Wa Ke De Range in Bristol, Indiana will be hosted alongside the American Smallbore Shooting Association National Championships. This camp has a maximum of 20 athletes, is $250, and will take place from July 3-5. Staff will include five coaches and one camp coordinator. Coaches are highly qualified adult coaches and college athletes with experience coaching youth summer camps. The Intermediate Camps are intended for athletes who have not yet developed the skill to compete in the National Championships. This partnership allows programs and families to bring athletes in different age groups and skill levels to participate in the national championships.

The NRA Smallbore Camp at Camp Atterbury, in Franklin, IN, will have a maximum of 20 athletes. The camp is $350 and will take place from July 7-July 10. Lodging is provided. The Elite Collegiate-Style Rifle Clinic will be held July 30 through August 3* at The X Count range in Fort Wayne, IN. It is a unique and unprecedented experience for high school level athletes whose goal is to continue their rifle career at the collegiate level. Athletes will receive expert coaching. All coaches are current collegiate coaches, NCDS, or certified as an Advanced Coach by USA Shooting. Head Coach Gregg Rice is licensed by the ISSF. The clinic will expose the athletes to a nationally known sports psychologist, a physical trainer, and a sports nutritionist, bringing facets to the program unlike any other experience offered nation-wide. A variety of shooting experiences in both 50-foot smallbore and 10-meter international air will be provided. Finals training will be included in the instruction for both events. Outdoor 50-meter training will be available weather permitting. The coaching will focus on advanced instruction and will assume that athletes have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of three-position smallbore and international air rifle. This year, we are happy to announce that we’ll be joined by Serbian athlete Nemanja Mirosavljev. Nemanja has been to the Olympics five times under three different flags.  He has medaled at the World Championships, European Championships, and Mediterranean Games.  Most recently he served as the head coach of the Italian Rifle Team.
